INDUS is Mott MacDonald’s management process that integrates
sustainable development criteria into our normal project work. We
have developed INDUS from our practical experience on a number of
landmark projects where sustainable development has been
prioritised, such as Masdar City Infrastructure Design, Abu Dhabi
Surface Transport Master Plan, and Leeds New Generation Transport.
It also reflects the independently-developed philosophy of our
Fulcrum sustainable buildings and communities business.
Our Sustainability Policy commits us to integrate sustainability
into all our activities – including the services we provide to
clients as a part of projects. Our clients also are adopting
policies that make a similar commitment. Furthermore, it is almost
always the case that a client’s project or activities must take
account of the requirements and aspirations of other stakeholders,
including regulators and the local community.
The INDUS Process helps us and our clients to meet our policy
commitments and satisfy, as far as possible, the requirements and
aspirations of other stakeholders.
