The project involves improving passenger flow and reducing
passenger overcrowding on the main concourse within the station,
while maintaining services through and into the remaining platforms
within the station.
Franklin + Andrews has been providing cost planning services at
feasibility stage on twelve options. Osprey Mott MacDonald, our
project management company, has also been involved on the study
providing programme and buildability advice.
The scope of the project provides for the following
opportunities:
- new escalators to platforms
- new staff accommodation and operational facilities
- new main concourse layout
- revised entrances layout with escalators and lifts
- retail and commercial opportunities
